This unit took form of observations. Generally, as I observed having to take note of why the students may have found the lesson difficult, particularly focusing on things such as the teacher’s attitude, manner, teaching style, as well as the lesson structure and content; the salient factor, personally, was the attitude of the teacher. There was a significant difference in the atmosphere in the classroom, as well as a difference in the level of understanding amongst the class participants in the second lesson as the teacher appeared more engaging and approachable; his organisation and response also improved. This change in his attitude as well as the structure of the lesson impacted the progress of the lesson through greater participation and better understanding of the content taught.
