This unit covered the basic aspects of lesson planning, including why lesson planning is important and the typical structure of a lesson plan. I found the inclusion of a sample lesson plan in this unit particularly helpful. In the sample lesson plan, it was clear both the flow and direction of the lesson, as well as the built in flexibility of the lesson - especially in the inclusion of a sample activate 2 plan if time allowed. Additionally, the inclusion of a sample self-evaluation form helped me think about not just how to plan lessons but then how to improve as a teacher after giving a lesson and getting feedback and experience.
