when talking about parts of speech, the commonly seen and used words i.e "nouns", "pronouns", "verbs","adjectives", "adverbs" "conjunctions" make you forget how much work you need to do in preparation for a grammar intensive lesson even for the most proficient English users. "superlative adjective", "gerund" and "transitive verb" are some of the parts of speech I personally use every day but would recall the specifics of the technical terms.
