In this unit I learned about how to analyze a course book, taking into consideration variables such as price, availability, design, and methodology, as well as why it might be advantageous to choose a course book for a class if given the chance. This unit listed the disadvantages of using a textbook, namely that they are not as interesting to students and are more rigid. Therefore, if given the opportunity I now feel prepared to better choose a textbook appropriate for my students.
