The various tenses that encompass the present form all serve to explain the present tense either in the finite,
present perfect tense or to elaborate what someone has been doing, or the present continuous tense. Explaining how someone can be doing something, someone has been and is still doing something, and the more absolute form of present simple.
I think this is one of the more difficult concepts because the present tenses can rely on the past, making it confusing.
