In this unit, the different forms and usages of future tenses was explored. Future tenses can be especially tricky, as some of the forms can be similar to present tense forms. In general, future tenses can be distinguished as a future simple tense, a future continuous tense, a future perfect tense, a future perfect continuous tense, a 'going to' future tense, a present simple with future applications, or a present continuous with future applications.
I learned that there are many ways to express a future tense aside from using the 'going to' future tense. I also learned that present tense forms can have a future application in its meaning, and that future tenses have various forms and usages. From this unit, I was able to understand how to explain each form's usage, and ways to teach these forms in a lesson.
