In this unit we learned about planning a lesson. I found this unit very interesting, and appreciated the many examples of different activities for different stages of a lesson. Including anticipated problems as part of a plan is also a great idea. Having come into contact with teachers who do not plan their lessons, I found the section on 'why' to be interesting, as it covers possible reasons why teachers may prefer to not plan, or to minimally plan their lessons, assuming laziness is not the motivating factor.
