In this unit, I have learnt about how to select vocabulary for teaching along with what students actually need to know about vocabulary, this makes the selection process more straight forward and the vocabulary selected will be appropriate for the students.
I have also learnt about teaching grammatical structures along with how to present and practise them. The various methods to engage students are very helpful as they are simplified. The methods also appear to have a variety and therefore they will be stimulating for both the students and teachers.
I find the suggestions of teaching lesson using Straight Arrow, Patchwork and Boomerang very helpful, it helps me understand better on how to conduct a lesson.
