In this Unit about future tenses we learn that this is very complex for L2s. It is easy to get confused about something that will happen in the future, vs something that will be happening for an indefinite period of time in the future. You wouldn't think that "I will be going to the wedding" is that distinct from I will have been going to weddings all my adult life," but it is distinct! Predictions, plans, decisions, hopes, dreams lol seem to all be wrapped up in these future tenses. There are fun ways to engage learners when teaching about future tense, such as by playing Muddy Waters' Mannish Boy where the lyrics state, "Everything's gonna be alright this morning." I would also like to play Bob Marley for this lesson, where he says, "Every little thing's gonna be alright."
