The course helped me to assess what I already know as a teacher, as well as areas that I am neglecting and should pay more attention to. I realized that I already gained a lot of experience as a teacher in the past 20 years, teaching in South Africa, South korea and the United Arab Emirates. Areas I could pay more attention to are grammar and pronunciation. I haven’t studied in a long time and wanted to do a “refresher” course. I noticed that a lot of schools in the Far East are requesting a TEFL certificate and it is not excluded that I will end up teaching in Asia again, in which case this certificate would be very useful.
