I have found the course units challenging but manageable. The grammar sections were useful, in that they were organized in a way which was easy to memorize. The theoretical units were thought-provoking and helped me to consolidate my ideas. There were many sections which I found extremely helpful – how to deal with problem behavior, making lessons motivating, games and activities and the lesson plan layout. The DVD with Unit 10 was instructive and I found the units on teaching of skills and Unit 17 on equipment and teaching aids very practical. One aspect I would have liked some more information on was the teaching of beginners with no knowledge of the alphabet.
I intend to use the lesson plan and to keep records of my own and the students’ progress. I will be using a course book, but will make out supplementary
work to suit the particular needs of my own class. I have listed the suggestions for activities and games for the different stages of a lesson and will be using them and internet sources. I have printed out the course units and will be able to refer to them when the need arises.
