I found the course challenging and interesting. As a native speaker we take for granted the intricacies of the english grammar system, and of course although I studied grammar during my own studies that was a long time ago.
I found the ESA method and the details of lesson planning to be interesting and effective and I can see how they can be used for teaching of any activity, not just english as a second language. I now have a much more clear idea of how to break teaching of a complex subject into simple clear steps and how it can be presented in a way that maintains interest and motivation.
I am currently applying for teaching positions in
japan and I have had two initial meetings with language schools. What I have learned on this course was relevant and useful especially for my answers on the
application forms and test tasks that they set during the interview process.
