When thinking about doing a tefl course I wasn't too sure whether an online course would be the right thing. Because of its flexibility it was my only option besides working full-time. I really appreciate how the course is set up. The assignments helped to revise and deepen my understanding of the materials. The whole course is geared to prepare you to be a teacher. It's very practical and applicable, gives a lot of teaching ideas and a good glance into what being a teacher is all about. Having experienced some boring english lessons before, I learned that that's not how it should be. Learning english should be fun and lessons should be engaging and motivating. The materials provide a good basis to come back to. Especially all the resources listed and mentioned, I'm sure, will come in handy at some point. My plan is to use the attained knowledge and certificate to become an english teacher abroad. I'd like to go to the Middle East, possibly egypt, for some time. Another thing I appreciate about this course is the network you get into through it. You're not just on your own looking for a job, but there's websites available to look for employment.
