Once your enrolment is complete we will send you an email containing details that will enable you to log-in to your restricted area of our online course system. From this system you will be able to access the course materials which you can choose to either study online or download to your own computer.
When you are sure that you have fully absorbed the materials for unit one, your understanding of its contents will be assessed after which you can move on to the following unit. Once you have worked through all the units you will then be required to complete a final essay writing task. The essay will be submitted online for assessment by an online tutor. On successful completion of the essay, you will graduate from the course.

TESOL Course Content
The 120-hour course contains two main subject areas - teaching skills and language awareness. The sections dedicated to teaching skills cover the techniques and skills you will need in the classroom including teaching theories and methodologies, classroom management, lesson planning and how to test and evaluate your students’ progress. The sections dedicated to language awareness focus on grammar subjects including the parts of speech and the English tense system, as well as some other important subjects such as pronunciation.
The course is organized into 20 individual units that have been specifically designed to provide a gradual build up of knowledge, without overloading you with too much information at any one time. This convenient layout allows you to work through the course materials at whatever pace suits your own personal circumstances.

Optional Teaching Practice
This course comes with the option of additional teaching practice that can be completed without having to attend one of our training centers. This will allow you to gain further teaching knowledge and some invaluable time in the classroom before you head off to start your first real-life teaching position. There are two different options for how the lessons are undertaken and verified:
Option 1: You can find a school or language center of your choice (either in-class or online) and teach your lessons there. The school will sign off that you have completed these lessons and your documents will be sent to ITTT for verification.
Option 2: You can find your own student/s and teach the lessons independently at a location of your choice, either face-to-face or remotely. You will need to video one of these sessions (1 hour) and send it to ITTT with your other documentation for verification.
