Diploma in TESOL course Content
The course is divided into 11 separate modules as outlined below:

- Summative Task (Thesis)
Modules 1 to 11 each require in the region of 21 hours of study. For the summative task you will be required to produce a research based thesis that normally takes around 20 hours to complete. Therefore, when you include the initial 120-hour TESOL course section, you should expect to spend about 370 hours of study time on this course.
Diploma in TESOL course Aims
Our online Diploma in TESOL course aims to cover a wide range of teaching issues from learning theories to material design. By successfully completing all aspects of the course, you should develop a clearer understanding of your role as an English language teacher in a variety of different environments.
As you work through the course modules you will not only improve your research skills and general writing abilities, but will also develop a wide range of transferable skills that will be useful both inside and outside the classroom.
Diploma in TESOL course Assessment
You will be continuously assessed as you work through the course. After you have studied a module you will be required to complete a multiple choice test that covers that section. You will submit your answers which will be automatically marked and your results will then be displayed on a bar chart. This process will continue for all eleven of the course modules. To complete the final stage of the course you will need to submit a research thesis as outlined in the summative task.
Once you have successfully completed all 11 module tests and the final research project, you will receive your online Diploma in TESOL certificate.
Tutor Support
The diploma course comes with online tutor support which means you will have access to the support and assistance of an experienced online tutor for the duration of your studies. You will be able to contact your tutor at any time with any questions or problems you may have, and they will respond with helpful advice as quickly as possible. Your diploma course tutor will be one of our most experienced and qualified teacher trainers. They will have been a practicing English language teacher with at least ten years experience of practical classroom teaching and teacher training.
Optional Teaching Practice
This course comes with the option of additional teaching practice that can be completed without having to attend one of our training centers. This will allow you to gain further teaching knowledge and some invaluable time in the classroom before you head off to start your first real-life teaching position. There are two different options for how the lessons are undertaken and verified:
Option 1: You can find a school or language center of your choice (either in-class or online) and teach your lessons there. The school will sign off that you have completed these lessons and your documents will be sent to ITTT for verification.
Option 2: You can find your own student/s and teach the lessons independently at a location of your choice, either face-to-face or remotely. You will need to video one of these sessions (1 hour) and send it to ITTT with your other documentation for verification.
