I learned a broader overview of teacher roles and learner styles. While I fill every role mentioned as a teacher, I never thought about what a good balancing act should be between them, and how they can be paramount to certain learners' motivation levels on different days. Teacher roles and learner motivations are more integrated than previously thought, and I should "switch it up" to allow for a more variety in lessons. Also, the brief part about East Asian student norms was accurate. Lastly, I was previously unfamiliar with the Council of Europe's learner level framework.
