This unit was concerned primarily with the different sort of tests commonly utilized in the world of English as a second language. It described the different types of "internal" examinations that usually take place in the English school itself which are usually concerned with monitoring the progress of students in their language development or the initial placement of students with a classroom. I understand how over testing can be detrimental to the development of students as a whole, I personally view it as a big problem within the American school system currently.
