This unit has shown me a variety of available equipment to facilitate lessons, and the pros and cons of each. It has also provided very practical information, such as ensuring that photocopiers are available to prepare materials for the students, having sufficient appropriate dictionaries etc. However, I'm not sure if cassette recorders are still in use presently as the last time I actually saw one was close to a decade ago. Perhaps I may still find them in regions that are still trying to catch up with the rest of the world. I feel that if we were to think about teaching English at these poorer areas, having a portable projector might also be a good idea, to work together with resources saved in a smartphone or laptop computer or netbook.
The various resources provided by this unit, especially all the online resources are amazing and extremely useful (and interesting) to me. I will definitely explore them to try to integrate the information into lessons.
