This unit was about lesson plans. As a teacher, it is important to plan lessons in preparation for what you want students to learn. What you want students to learn is called the learner objective. These lessons are not meant to be rigid guidelines that you have to follow word for word. These plans should be flexible and adaptable for the needs of the class. It also serves as a record of what you have taught the class and the activities you have administered. The lesson plans are a great resource to build your future planning off of, and refer to during the lesson. It is important to run through your plan before class and make sure you have everything need working correctly and ready to go. There are certain things needed in each lesson plan. Things to consider while creating your lessons plans include: learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, and the date. It is effective to review yourself after you have taught the lesson to see where you can improve for next time.
