This unit taught me the different lesson structures and methodologies I can employ when teaching English. While I have always adhered to PPP, this unit helped me realize that variations to PPP can be employed. I particularly like the ESA method and its variations. I appreciate it because of the flexibility it offers me, as the teacher, and the students. I can give the inputs then let them apply them (ESA) or I can check their current know-how then give the inputs (Boomerang). I think I can use the Patchwork method when I need to break down many inputs into segments for easier understanding, and so as not to overwhelm the students.
