This lesson has introduced how to introduce new language concepts, including vocabulary, grammar structures, and language functions. It was made clear how to appropriately teach new vocabulary, grammar, and functions in each of the three phases of teaching a lesson, engage, study, and activate. I learned that students need to know both the use and meaning of vocabulary and grammar. It's also important to help the students differentiate different levels of speech that they would be using in common life, such as formal, informal, or technical.
