This unit discussed the 2 productive skills - speaking and writing. When teaching speaking and writing skills, activities are broken down into accuracy or fluency. Accuracy takes place during the study phase and is focused on using correct language. Fluency activities take place during the activate phase and allows students to experiment and be creative. These are both equally important. This lesson also goes over different techniques to encourage students and student interactions. I learned how to encourage students and how to effectively give creative speaking and writing lessons.
