Unit 12 has taught that productive skills are just as important as receptive skills. Fluency and accuracy are more likely to be used at different stages of the learning phase. Writing is a neglected skill in tefl and of course everyone has their own unique style when it comes to writing, but being able to help a student how to write will go along way. The teacher must be able to correct students where possible (accuracy) and let students communicate actively without interrupting them (fluency).
