In this unit, I have learned about Reflective skills (Reading and writing).
What reflective skills are and how they are both very important skills for learners and teachers. The difference between receptive skills (Reading and Listening) and production skills (speaking and writing). This unit has provided a consolidation of the importance of various parts of teaching theory while highlighting the importance and differences between these skills.
It has demonstrated various teaching techniques and associated activities how these skills should be incorporated into all lessons to have a balanced lesson approach; lessons that focus on a particular skill but still incorporates other skills to incorporates other skills to create a ‘ integrated ‘skills lesson. Resulting in my learning of a receptive learning straight arrow patchwork lesson plan and the advantages and disadvantages of the use of this type of lesson plan.
