This unit analyses the different types of English classes. These include beginners, false beginners, adults, children, and beginners without Roman alphabet. Each group has special needs and challenges. The lesson gives many tips to provide effective language learning techniques. Great advice is given on how to select materials, activities, and homework material. Teachers are encouraged to only allow English to be spoken in the classroom. One section deals with how to teach business English. These students are not only to be tested for placement purposes but also for needs analyses.
