This unit discussed the productive skills: writing and speaking and outlined some of the methods used to teach them. Many techniques and considerations carry over from the unit on reading and listening, but new ideas such as games would help teaching these topics. I also learned that its important to balance accuracy activities and fluency activities, as both are equally important. The productive skills for using language will often require giving the students time to prepare to answer questions or for a writing exercises.
