This unit went over the different parts of pronunciation, that is intonation, stress, rhythm and articulation. It also explained different manners and places of articulation in detail. Furthermore it discussed techniques for teaching pronunciation and when to teach it. The unit also covered the phonemic alphabet. Much like tenses, things like stress and intonation is something I do correctly "by instinct" but not something that I could articulate the actual rules for. I found this unit to be very helpful in that respect, but I question the usefulness of the phonemic alphabet in a classroom setting, as I'd imagine this would just serve to confuse the students.
