Unit 18 covers the last section of grammar: phrasal verbs, passive voice and modal verbs. Modals are verbs that provide additional meaning and can be used to express ideas, such as obligations, abilities, or permissions. Some of the modal verbs are can, may, should, would and must. Phrasal verbs are compound verbs that are formed from a main verb plus 1 or 2 additional words, which can be prepositions or adverbs. These verbs can be inseparable or separable in the placement in the sentence, depending on the type of phrasal verb it is. The passive voice is used when the who of the action is not relevant, unknown or we don't want to mention, thus, the object becomes the subject in the sentence receiving the action.
