In this unit, I have learnt about modal auxiliary verbs and the rules that govern them. These verbs can be used to express a number of ideas such as; obligation, ability, possibility, permission and more. I have also learnt the uses for auxiliary verbs and how to phrase them in the different tenses. I find the teaching ideas helpful as it helps me better under stand the said verbs for my self and this will help when I impart the uses and meaning of these verbs to the students.
There are two voices in English, the passive and active voices, these voices help me understand how to structure and when use which voice.
I have also learnt about the three different types of clauses and their usage, I found very easy to understand defining and non-defining relative clauses when explained with the commas.
