This unit was really awesome! I previously knew a lot of this information, but not all of it. It was really fascinating to understand and learn the parts that were new for me. For example, I previously did not know about transitive and intransitive verbs. As I teach in Poland, and all verbs are intransitive in Polish, my students often use all English verbs in this manner. I did not previously know why they couldn't be used that way in the English language, as they are used in Polish. It was really interesting to learn the reason. Another thing I learned from this unit was the order of adjectives. While I do this automatically, I did not realize the rule for the order of adjectives: size, age, color, material, noun. When I create sentences with a different order, it sounds strange, and I didn't previously know why. It was very eye-opening for me! Something else that was interesting was that comparatives of more than two syllables do not get -er or -est, but instead "more" in front of them. While I subconsciously follow that rule, I did not previously know it. I spent a lot of time in amazement, thinking of different examples in my head! Overall, this unit was really informative and I enjoyed learning some new things, including rules in my language that I follow, but didn't previously know or understand.
