Once again, the tenses proved to be quite difficult with me. It's interesting because as a native speaker I am not conscious of all the tenses I use. Yet again, I felt a sense of the frustration English Language Learners must feel while learning the tenses in English. It was really interesting to learn about when I use each tense (in which situation). I did not previously notice that past perfect continuous wasn't used often, but is used when we discuss long and continuous actions up until the moment of the story. I came up with a few examples of my own and this was of course accurate, though I had never realized it previously. I remember reading about how leaving out "had" or "been" or not adding "ing" to the end of the verb can really disrupt the structure of past perfect continuous, which I think makes it one of the more challenging tenses to remember, especially since it is not used as frequently as some of the other past tenses. Overall, I would say it was again interesting to learn more about the tenses in English, especially since I use them subconsciously everyday while speaking.
