The various way of evaluating and assesing the students progress.
Its importatnt to provide feedback to students as this information will help students to be
in a better position to evaluate their own lever and progress and motivate them
to improve where necessary.

the students language level.
Types of tests
START
Placement tests-Taken at the start of the class to check the students language ability level and hence also assist with gropuing and
and class placement that is best suited for the students language level.
Diagnostic tests -Used to check what the student knows and doesnt know so as to
assist the teacher in planning for future lessons.
DURING THE COURSE
Progress test -These are tests given to students periodically during the course
in order to gauge what language has been remembered and that which they have forgotten.
It is important as it shows the teacher whichh language items need to be reinforced and
it encourages students to constantly review and revise their work.
END OF THE COURSE
PRACTICE TEST-These are usually given toward the end of the course and are used to
prepare the student for the external examaminations. An important factor to consider
is that the format and structure of these test should be the same as that of the external examination.
GENERAL EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS

Korea.
