Unit 3 covered various teaching methods showing their advantages/disadvantages regarding the students' learning success.Jeremy Harmer's ESA method was introduced. Each EFL lesson should contain all three factors (Engage, Study, Activate) to ensure that students are motivated, exposed to the language and have the opportunity to use the language. Ideas for Activities for each stage were given. The unit also covered the structure of different types of ESA lessons (Straight Arrow ESA lesson, Boomerang ESA lesson, Patchwork ESA lesson).
