This chapter unit discusses teaching speaking and writing skills of accuracy and fluency. It provides lesson examples and games a teacher can utilize. It discusses activities such as creative speaking for fluency and drilling for accuracy. It mentions that instructors often delegate writing assignments to homework and the issue is that mistakes can not be corrected on the spot and it is often left undone by students.
What I learned from the chapter is that both speaking and writing are of equal importance and both should be incorporated into active class lessons.
