In this Unit, I have learnt a lot about the future tense. There are seven different forms to express future tense, they are the future simple, the future continuous, the future perfect...The present simple and the present continuous are not only can be used as present tenses, but also have future applications. Using the present simple and the present continuous for future meaning is a little bit difficult for students to understand. We need to distinguish the future meaning from different situations.
As English teachers, we should be familiar with the common mistakes for each form made by students and help them figure out the differences between different forms. For example, the future perfect can be easily confused with future perfect continuous, we need to give students more practise to help them understand the distinction.
