This unit presents some problems that an English teacher may meet. The first lesson seems to be a challenge for an unexperienced teacher, so the authors explain such important things like establishing rapport between the students, the teacher and the class, finding out about the students and their needs etc. Moreover, warmers are always relevant, as the students are not always motivated at the lesson. The group may consists of students of different levels or an extremely large amount of students, that need to be taken into account during the preparation for the lesson, choosing the activities and the materials. Students could be reluctant, so the authors give some tips for this situation like using plenty of pair work. There are two highlighted themes that, to my opinion, appear to be taken out of context, they are use of native language and difficulties with listening texts. Surely, they are important, nevertheless, aims may differ, for example, the students and the teacher’s native language is the same, and the students want to get all the needed information as quick as possible, that is better with L1. Furthermore, the problems may be with reading, writing, speaking as well as with listening, so they need the commentary too.
