Unit 19 "Teaching special groups" showed me the differences between teaching different types of groups. There are various categories of beginners, a lot of methodologies and techniques, possible problems and how it is better to motivate such students. It is very important how and with whom students will start their journey to the new language. Now I understand better how to teach individual students and suitable 1-1 activities, and it's more like a partnership. Teaching children is one of the most rewarding of all students classes to teach. Once I had such experience, and I can say, that it was very excited to see these happy faces and realize how smart they are and that it is so easy for them to learn something new. Thanks to this unit I can improve my teaching young learners skills. It was useful to know more about teaching Business English/ English for Specific Purposes (ESP), the types of clients and what they need, needs analysis and planning the courses. Needs analysis form will help a lot with the planning of the program. There are also necessary things to consider like before you begin to teach, your expertise, on arrival, during the course and after. I know how it is to study in the monolingual and the multilingual classes. In my childhood I had an experience in studying in multilingual class in England and, as any student in my group, I wanted to make foreign friends, so there was only one option for us - we were speaking English to each other. In Russia, there was just a possibility to study in monolingual class.
