Unit 20: Troubleshooting considers very helpful aspects of english teaching.
The first lesson can be very taugh for teacher without teaching experience, and the first thing of this unit considers it. The classes for first lesson can be the following categories:
1. New group - the students don't know each other, and some work will be needed to establish rapport between class members.
2. Existing group - students are already likely to know and are comfortable with each other and familiar with EFL teaching.
Then the unit considers activities, which teacher can use for the first lesson, but the main thing is teacher shouldn;t resort to the cource book during the first lesson.
Then we considered warmers - they are very helpful to get students motivated and use English.
The next is problem with students who have different english levels. In this case teacher must do the following: pair students with weaker ones, some material - different tasks, and use different materials.
In the large classes tacher must use the next techniques:
Use worksheets, pair and group work, clarity, choral repetition, appoint group leader and use dynamics
