This unit focuses on different forms of the past tense and the correct usage in speaking and writing of English grammar .
From this contest I've learned the most common difficulties that might occur while explaining the past tense forming to a student. For exemple the confusion between past continue and past perfect continue tense ,for best results , might take several hours of teaching the same concept over and over again until reaching the full understanding of the lesson, especially for beginners . Also , as a teacher ,I need to take into consideration and be aware of the mistakes that could be made in the future when using an irregular verb at the past tense.
To me , the study materials need to be presented as much as possible into a variety of combination of activities staying into the activity stage most of the time . That method would be helpful for visualization of a certain action that happened at a certain time in the past .
