This chapter dealt with pronunciation and phonology. I learned that in order to teach pronunciation, one must remember that intonations are different in every language. The rise and fall in how we speak dictates in how we want the sentence to be perceived. Most native speakers will do this without even realizing it. However, for ones that are learning it, it can be a challenge. Luckily there is the International Phonemic Alphabet to help with pronunciation so that everyone can learn it correctly.
