This unit focused on equipment and teaching aids for the classroom. Many of the equipment covered in this unit was known to me except for the interactive whiteboards. I have yet to see it in a school but it has been a while since I've sat in a classroom. The most common teaching aid used is the board. It can be either chalk board or more commonly now, whiteboards. One of the more recent technologies to be used in the classroom is the interactive whiteboards or smart boards. Because of cost, these are less known in undeveloped regions. Overhead projectors were the reigning equipment in my school days and it is still in use today. Along with equipment, various resources such as dvds, cds, video cameras, dictionaries, websites, workbooks, etc. are given examples to help in the classroom.
