in this unit i have learnt that there are different methods, techniques and theories used to help students learn a language. some use drills and some use the open opportunity granted to them by the teacher to try on their own and to be initiative. some of these ways stem from direct translation and this has an effect on the fluency of the sentence, sentence construction is construction is compromised. some techniques work for a specific time period and then become ineffective, some work for low level grades and some work for high level grades. this means that not all methods will work in every case, it depends on the method used and on the target audience. its about choosing the best one to maximise results.
