This unit is pretty intensive but doesn't clearly align with the expectations of a Lesson Plan. The test questions and the unit material appears to display the information in a way that doesn't describe to a student what the differences between two things such as authentic and non authentic. I really had to study and spend a lot of time discerning the questions and possible answers, having read them several times. Although I really did appreciate the unit having a completed Lesson Plan example that seemed to help out. The unit describes authentic and non authentic course materials and I had a difficult time understanding what was authentic and non authentic because where certain descriptions that would set them apart were placed in the course material it made the questions difficult to answer. I would suggest setting them completely apart such as: Authentic material description followed by advantages and disadvantages and than non authentic materials followed by description with advantages and disadvantages. Basically just change how the information is structured as far as emplacement. The unit talks about what types of considerations must be made when designing your own non authentic materials for a Lesson Plan and where to to place certain information in the lesson plan in the ESA methodology platform. Many sources of where to find information that can help you in designing your materials are references and given along with several actual hyperlinks.
