I did enjoy this lesson- however struggled with question 7. I feel like they all are correct in their own way and am struggling to answer the question confidently. Page 3 highlights that pre-teaching difficult vocabulary can be done but shouldn't be over done as its an important skill in the learning process to deduce the meaning of words by the sentence around it... which would mean that that would be the choice for 7 as not having that skill would lead to decrease confidence however, pre-teaching vocabulary is the answer for Q11 which means its something that we should be doing but obviously to a somewhat limited capacity as suggested on page 3. And it strictly says that authentic material can lead to confidence, obviously material that interests the students would lead to confidence and obviously chasing material suitable (selected and graded) for the students level of ability would lead to confidence... So by deduction it would be pre-teaching vocab that can lead to less confidence which doesn't really make sense as its something that should be done as well... Clearly Im still little confused by this question.... Maybe its authentic material for beginner students as they don't know very much yet?
