In this unit, I learned about different skill levels of ESL students. I covered how to use Placements tests to determine the proper level a student should be in and also how to use Need tests to determine the students need for learning the language. Some useful examples of both Placement tests and Need test were given. The unit touched on some limiting factors that may affect a teacher in the classroom and how to properly design a course syllabus. Six different assessments tests were talked about and how and when to use these tests. Finally, in this unit, I learned about different kinds of exams and course evaluations
