In this Unit I have learned qualities of a good teacher. Qualities such as patience, a good knowledge of the subject they are teaching, and the ability to motivate the students are all assets to your capability as an instructor. I have also learned the unique roles of a teacher such as the manager, organizer, or facilitator. A good teacher must be versatile in these roles, and be able to know when a specific role should be applied. There are also aspects of a good learner such as a willingness to listen to the language, an acceptance of error and correction, and a desire to learn. It is important to be aware of your students experience level, motivation, behavior problems, or life experience. By understanding strength and weaknesses, you can make adjustments to your class to make learning more effective for the student.
