I have learnt about pronunciation, stress and intonation.This topic also taught me about the different accents we have around the world and the usage of the phonemic alphabet.I have also learnt about phonology and how pronunciation varies around the world. This topic has also explained a lot about the sound system. Intonation is generally considered to be the variation in volume and pitch in a whole sentence. Pronunciation is probably the most neglected aspect of English language teaching, this is an area of concern since most foreign teachers do not have the confidence and training to teach this area. Natives also face challenges in hearing certain features, such as fall or rise of speech.An effective teacher considers the teaching of pronunciation an integral part of the course,In conclusion I have also learnt that most students learning English around the world have problems when it comes to pronunciation.
