In this unit, I learn that intonation is important when questioning or agreeing, disagreeing and confirming statements. It's also important when expressing emotions and feelings. The falling intonation of a rise-fall indicates we're finished talking such as, I'll see you at 6 o'clock. On the other hand, fall-rise indicates a need of response such as, are you ready yet? Also, a flat intonation indicates not being interested or of no concern.
