Unit five was about how to monitor and manage a class, whether it is a small intimate setting like tutoring, or a large sized class room. There are many different reasons for positioning the tables and chairs, depending on the activities for the day. The one that gets the teacher to have the most authority is by having divided rows, so the teacher can be seen, and walk amounst the students. Although, moving the chairs around, making pairs, and having a variety of class interaction will insure the students pay more attention to the lesson and will encourage more student talk time.
