I found this unit to be one of the most challenging so far. There has been quite a bit of thinking and analysis involved for me in telling the difference between these future tenses. In the past, I always used these future tense verbs intuitively, without a clear idea of how to use one versus the other. One of the most subtle distinctions I discovered in this unit was the difference between 'going to future' tense and the future simple tense. I had not realized that "going to" refers to plans or decisions made before hand, intentions, or predictions based on evidence. Instead, I had assumed "going to" was synonymous with the future simple form. After finishing this unit, I fully believe the assertion of the introductory paragraph, that future tenses are one of the most complex parts of the English language.
